Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.10/JH.                     18th August, 1937.

Messrs. John Marston Ltd.,
Wolverhampton.

For the attention of Mr. Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 17th inst. and note the quotations contained therein.

It is extremely probable that we shall standardise on the .005 tinned and .003 tinned construction at the moment - changing over to .003 untinned airways when we have satisfied ourselves that the loss in dissipation is negligible.

For this purpose will you please make us up one 58 m.m. Bentley matrix to drg. EB.3373 using .005 tinned waterway strip and .003 untinned air way strip. We shall then compare this with the .005 tinned .003 tinned 58 m.m. MK.VI. matrix which we already have. If you could let us have this matrix with a minimum of delay we should be grateful.

We would like you to let us have a list of the Bentley radiator matrices which you have supplied to us in the last two years together with dates of delivery and particulars of their individual construction i.e. Depth, Type (MK V or MK.VI) thickness of strip used and whether tinned or not - further, order number under which they were requested. This is required in order to clear up a certain amount of confusion here.

Will you also please make us a further set of dummy shutters for our Bentley Radiator (as per last set supplied) to our drawing EB.3416 and your drawing A.97.
