Re Side Lamp Bulbs.

With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst1/AD12.4.32., I note it is possible for you to get a voltage of 16.5 when the battery is fully charged and the switch in the 'S' and 'T' position.

It would appear that there is a very definite likelihood of the side lamp bulbs being burnt out.

The fact remains that on our Trials cars we have had quite a large number of failures.

I note you are prepared to arrange to carry out further tests, which appear to be very necessary, so that some arrangements can be made to make it impossible for the lamps to be burnt out.

With regard to your remarks that we should supply 14 to 16 instead of 12 to 14 volt lamps, this does not appear to be very satisfactory as it is very difficult to get 14 to 16 volt lamps, whereas 12 to 14 ones can be bought at any Garage.

Perhaps you will be good enough to go fully into this matter and see what can be done to overcome this trouble.
