Contd. -3- is intended to go at the rear end of the spring and to be held on by the present safety bolts. We are carrying out similar test at Derby to confirm the results. We are rather disappointed at the amount of miles you have covered. If you only cover the same number of miles as you have up to the present, it will take about 5 months to complete 10,000 miles. You should put it to CJ. that we are complaining at Derby that you are not running enough miles. We should like you to run the car more by yourself so that you can run at high speeds over bad roads. X.3751. We should like to know more as regards pistons, The time you are most likely to get knocks, is when starting up cold. We want to know if there are any - to what degree and at what temperature do they go off. We have not yet received any time and expense sheets; the Office are complaining. Have you had any trouble with tures ? X.3751. You should be interested to try your car and Mr. De Salamanca's car over the same road to see how they compare for power. You might also let us know what Mr. Salamanca's car is like for piston knocks and ask him how many miles the car has run. I trust you are having a good time & nice weather etc. Where are you staying in Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence ? are you at the Hotel ? Yours faithfully R R.{Sir Henry Royce} 235 A (100 L) (S.P) 846 6-8-19. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2460 | ||
