With reference to the letter received from the Remy Electric Company concerning coil for experimental purposes, it is only the coil we require and not the distributor, but it would certainly be useful to have an ignition switch. It was our intention that the coil should be of the type they are supplying to us for fitting to the Airship engines, as we were not aware that they made any other type of 6 cylinder coil. We are not really particular which type of coil it is, as the purpose for which we want the coil is in connection with the experimental work which we are carrying out on the R.R. battery ignition. We wish to make a comparison between our own coil and the Remy coil when working with the same distributor and contact breaker.
