THB18/12C512. May 20th. 1912. Mr Royce. Mr Johnson. Re Lighter Rear Axle. The results of some tests on our standard axle with lightened flanges and also on a 1400 type of axle were sent to Mr Royce some days ago. Further tests have now been taken of a standard 1800 type of axle, and these results are now being tabulated and will be sent immediately. In these later tests the collapsing point was again the flanges, so it does not appear that these should be the parts that should be lightened. Mr Bailey is proceeding with the details of the lighter axle and as previously reported hopes to complete them in about a weeks time. X37 | ||
