RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 1091 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}3/R.30.1.37. During a visit to the Birmingham Factory of Rovers, we saw their machine for radius-ing the engagement side of crash-gears. It can do an 18 tooth gear wheel in one minute. It is made by the Hey Engineering Co. of Coventry and factored by Alfred Herbert and costs £350. Rovers see no reason why the cam action should not be made suitable for helical teeth.
