With further reference to the latter part of Mr.Nichols' letter of the 26th ult, we are enclosing herewith print EX.Y.9720 showing arrangement of gearless single wire type tank attachment in your tank to drawing FB.1413. We have found that it is not possible to put this type of tank attachment in either of your other tanks, without necessitating the baffles being cut. In your tank FB.1413, you will note that we have mounted the tank unit in the end as this appears to be the only position in which it can be mounted without serious alteration to the tank. It has not of course, been possible to arrange for a warning light contact in this tank unit and we feel that should you become interested in the single wire gauge, it would be advisable to redesign the tank unit to suit your particular requirements.
