In connection with the schemes we have received from Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} for Goshawk 11. Radius rods, also modified Side Steering Rod, we notice that the Enots Lubricators are shewn immediately over the ball pin and Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} points out in a memo. that he understands this is in accordance with the Expl: Dept: wishes. The lubricators have also been shewn immediately over the ball pins in the case of E.A.C. but we have altered these and followed the practice of 40/50 and the present Goshawk joints.

We should be glad if you would let us know whether it is now considered that the best position for the Lubricator is immediately over the ball pin, as our impression has been up to the present that the best and most satisfactory position is to fix the Lubricator further along the tube.
