-2- Result. The low speed torque, 8 - 9 m.p.h. was not affected. The 11 to 16 was 30% more pronounced. at speeds of 40 m.p.h. upwards the engine was rougher, also on the overrun. 5th Test. Side torque dampers slackened right off. Result. There was no low speed torque from 8 - 9 m.p.h. The 11 - 16 was hardly noticeable. At high speeds and on the overrun the engine was smoother. ----- we are of the opinion that neither dampers are required. ----- EXHAUST SILENCER TESTS. we carried out the tests with the silencer held up by wire only. there was no appreciable result in the roughness of the engine at 60 m.p.h. and over, both forward and on the overrun. ----- we came to a stop through petrol failure, due to the nipple of the petrol pipe from the filter to the pump cracking. the head came right off. this pipe is too short and rigid for the movement of the engine. G.W.H NOTE. Please supply us with a new petrol pipe from the filter to the petrol pump, with coil. G.W.H. J H Hancock | ||
