No. REF: Ha/Rml/LG231025 this car is very good: We were informed by the chief Technical man that the steering was worm and wheel. On the whole it is an interesting steering apparently designed for very bad roads. REAR AXLE. Judged from the back of the car this was a very good axle. SUSPENSION. This car is without doubt over-sprung and rides like a lorry. Over badly worn setts in the London Squares, the vibration in the driving seat was very noticeable. Shocks could be felt on the rear seat also. The front of the car is equipped with semi-eliptic springs, the axle being off-set as in a large number of front wheel brake cars. Canti-lever rear springs are fitted with an anti-rolling device. CAR ROAD PERFORMANCE. We drove the car a considerable distance ourselves. ACCELERATION. The acceleration of the car from 10 to 20 m.p.h. on top gear was bad. The carburetter required humouring all the time. The cooling system was equipped with no blanking plates, a fan was fitted. There was no temperature control by shutters or thermostat. We should therefore imagine that the car was over-cooled though we cannot say for certain as no radiator thermostat or temperature recorder was fitted.
