Duplicate frames and modifications to building jigs for tank and matrix assembly.

1. these limits should be returned to Messrs Marstons. We suggest that for this purpose duplicate frames are used - one for Marstons and one for ourselves. The frames should be constructed so that a standard bottom tank is fitted at the bottom of the frame to check the base of the matrix - this will then be suitable for a similar function if we agree to Marstons dip-soldering the bottom tank to the matrix.

2. The existing building jigs should be modified so that the top tank, bottom tank and matrix are held together by a spring load with no appreciable gap between them - any variation in overall height of matrix unit can be taken care of by clearance in the top supporting hole, since clearance is given at this point anyway, to allow for expansion. The present jig demands an accuracy of manufacture which is impracticable and not economical.
