Mr.G.R.Minchin,
50, Grosvenor Gardens,
London. S. W. 1.

Dear Mr.Minchin,

Many thanks for your letter of the 21st inst, just received. I am very glad that you wrote me before going down to see Mr.Royce.

The fact of the case is that nobody at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town really appreciate the fact that the capacity of the 40/50 battery has now been increased, and therefore, whatever you do, do not raise trouble by mentioning this fact to Mr.Royce, or the increase in weight.

If by any chance Mr.Day should mention the question of the modifications to the batteries, the whole matter can be settled by simply saying that yourselves and the Exide Company have come into line to produce a battery with precisely similar cell units which fit into the original dimensions of the 40/50 HP. Battery Box.

Contd.
