25th February 1932

For the attention of Mr.H.E.West.
Your Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/AD.

Dear Sirs,

We have received your letter of February 19th., for which we thank you.

(1). Scintilla dynamo and regulator.
Many thanks for the regulation curves, which arrived subsequently attached to your letter of February 22nd. We note that these are apparently compared with the Bosch 130.W machine.

(2). Bijur system drive.
We note you are making a further search for patent numbers, which we shall be glad to have at your convenience.

(3). Rubber for windscreen wiper blades.
We are getting into communication with The Macintosh Cable Co.,Ltd., of Derby, with a view to trying out samples of their artificial rubber.

(4). Lucas H.F. horns.
One of our new H.F. horns, model HF.{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector}722, was despatched to your Mr. Royce at Derby yesterday, in accordance with instructions received from our Mr. Oliver Lucas. This horn was an engineering sample, that is, was hand-made, not off the tools. Possibly this horn is destined for the high speed Phantom chassis which you mentioned. Perhaps you will be good enough to advise us if we are correct in this.

(5). Condensers.
We believe we have a condenser winding machine which is surplus to our present requirements, and our Mr. W.C. Turner will be writing you almost immediately as to its particulars, blue prints and quotation.
