Rolls-Royce Ltd. DERBY. [Handwritten note: Customers cars gen:] Dear Robotham, Thank you for your letter about the car. The position as far as my car is concerned is that I understand a man in London, name and address as follows:- W.G. Walker, 49 North Wharf Road, Paddington, W.2., is prepared to give £900 for it, subject to having consulted your people in respect of the Chassis and Engine Number. If your brother-in-law is likely particularly to want the car, I could in any case hold anything over until after Sunday next, to give him an opportunity of seeing it. It has been a little difficult to discuss this with you about the new car, because I realise there is a considerable privilege in being able to have one, but it would be nice to know in the ordinary course of events whether, in considering the part exchange matter, a discount is allowed on the new car. Further, I take it it will be necessary for me to gain permission and give adequate reasons | ||
