Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

ELECTRICAL R.P.M. INDICATORS

We are in receipt of your enquiry per letter of the 22nd instant respecting the type of electrical revolution indicators used on our multi-engined machines.

In reply, we would say that we have fitted the Twin Aircraft with Record Instruments and the Four Engined Machine with Foster Instruments. The former type, obtainable from The Record Electrical Company Limited, Broadheath, Manchester, has a D.C. Generator producing 30 volts at 3000 rpm; the gear box is integral with the generator and can be supplied at a ratio to suit the engine.

The latter type is obtainable from The Foster Instrument Company, Letchworth, Herts, and also has a D.C. Generator with integral gear box, but we have no data as to revs. or output.

Yours faithfully,

For VICKERS (AVIATION) LIMITED,

Percy Maxwell Muller

General Manager.
