X 3449. To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}7/KT.11.2.31. RE NOISY OIL PUMPS. X. 7160. X. 3449. In connection with RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s cure for the above I believed you mentioned that the pump gear wheels could be made in mild steel instead of nickel. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} has made some gears in this metal and we wish to bring it into production, but By/Cgh{W Clough} is doubting the material and wants a standardisation sheet. We do not think this is necessary but would be pleased to have your views on the matter. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.Hancock, | ||
