Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} " " Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ----------- Wn9/EIT.28.2.35. ----------------- Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ.27.2.35. ----------------- Your views are noted. If Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} agreed to licence the first "SpectreCodename for Phantom III" as a "Phantom" it is probable that they did so without having the full facts before them, otherwise they would not have concurred in your Department supplying fake information to us so as to cause us to make false declarations to the Licensing Authority, for which the Statutory penalty is £50. or 6 months' imprisonment. No doubt they left the matter in your hands under the impression that you would discuss the appropriate course to follow with us. The normal form of licence voucher put on the car does not contain any information as to number of cylinders, but only details of the type of body, colour, and horse-power. If you want such a licence we must make a correct declaration. If you do not wish to make a true declaration the only alternative is a general trade plate which, amongst other things, is intended to cover situations such as that under discussion. Wn. | ||
