ULSTER BENTLEY. We attach herewith a power curve which shews the power of the engine which will be used this year at Ulster compared with the one last year. The improvement has been obtained by fitting a new cylinder head and larger carburetters on to the same engine as was used last year. We propose changing the wheels for a set which have been modified so that they can be got on and off easily. We have run a set of these wheels on 5-B-IV in France, but it will be necessary for us to make a set of special hub caps with the knock-on type of fixing. We are very disappointed that for the second year in succession at Ulster we shall be relying on one entry because with the least bit of bad luck the car has no chance. We have carried out a 10 Hr. endurance test at full power on the engine which is a similar test to that we did last year. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Attached: Power curve. | ||
