With an air temperature of 19°C., shutters full open, full throttle, the water temperature gradually crept up to 87°C. We have not had this previously. The average temperature with shutters full open on two runs on the road for 7 miles was 85°C, whereas previously we have had under the same conditions 75°C. I tried your method of bringing the water up to boil twice, then running at a speed of 20 to 30 M.P.H. The temperature of the water immediately started to drop and no trouble was experienced. The same test repeated but using full throttle straight away gave the same results; temperature dropped.

It would not be advisable to leave the fan on as at the moment fitted, therefore we shall revert back to its original position before handing the car over to Mr. Forthey.
