For the attention of Mr. S.H. Grylls. Dear Sirs, For some little while, we have been in communication with your Department - up to the moment having dealt with Mr. Abbot-Anderson, who, however, advises us in his letter of yesterday's date that we should now communicate with you as he has been transferred to another department. The enquiry originally was in connection with a new Humber Pullman Limousine, but we gather from Mr. Abbot-Anderson's letter that it has been decided that the particular purpose for which the car is required does not justify the expenditure on a new car, which would be largely hacked about for transport work. He suggests, however, that we might be able to submit something satisfactory in the way of a used car. There has been, and is, a considerable shortage of used Humber Pullman Limousines, for the reason that these cars - since the outbreak of hostilities - have been impressed by the Military Authorities. We have, however, in London at the moment two or three in reserve, and which we expect will possibly be required in the near future. Providing they remain available, however, we could certainly arrange to release one to you. The descriptions, very briefly, are as follows:- 1938 series Humber Pullman Limousine; finished in black; upholstered cloth to the interior and leather to the front seat. Car in excellent condition, having been serviced by the Manufacturers.........................£475. | ||
