- 13 - BENTLEY 80. ENGINE DEVELOPMENT. 8-cylinder High Power Unit. The first unit of this type will have a preliminary run on the Test Bed during week-ending Saturday, January 7th. The weight of this engine complete with dynamo, self-starter, clutch, filter, ignition equipment, inlet and exhaust manifolds and carburetter, but without oil and water is 690 lbs. The weight of the latest P.lll engine under the same conditions is 836 lbs. SPECIAL BENTLEY. This is a Bentley body on a long chassis with an eight cylinder engine. The body for this was outlined in PD.323 (item (d) in BY.2/G.19.12.38) The body design was not considered satisfactory by Sg.{Arthur F.
