SPECIAL CLUTCH PLATES FOR PHANTOM III.

Further to our telephone conversation of yesterday, we are arranging to send to Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager}, on Monday, four plates faced with VM.20. material for fitting to customer's cars as arranged. We have fitted one to 38-EX. and another to Major Grigg's car, making six in all. We should like your report on these plates in due course.

They are interchangeable with the standard production plate, but the set of the segments has been increased from .030" to .040".

We are also sending three sets of lighter clutch springs to be used in conjunction with the plates. These are all we have at the moment, and we will send you the fourth set as soon as it is ready.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth.
