COPY OF LETTER RECEIVED FROM THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LTD.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited.
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce.

17th. January, 1934.

Dear Sirs,

Following the discussions which have taken place in regard to the impending change in tread pattern on the present Standard and Fort low pressure motor car tyres, we feel that you would wish to have on record some design information regarding the new tyre.

It has been our aim to maintain the main dimensions of this type in line with those of Standard and Fort construction at present in use. The chief difference is in the tread pattern and profile, and we attach our print DDS.5213 on which is given a representative comparison of the two types.

The dotted line indicates the contour of the Dunlop "90" tyre as compared with the Triple Stud pattern.

We hope the foregoing will be of assistance and would confirm that change particulars and the actual date when this will be effected will be circularised later, while at the moment only tyres of 5.00 section and upwards are affected.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LIMITED.

(Sgned). H.E. Price.
Manager -
Car Manfrs. Division.
