Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. For the attention of Mr. J.C.Bowering. Dear Sirs, Confirming our telephone conversation in connection with the standardization of D.W.S. Permanent Jacks on 20/25 h.p. Rolls-Royce Cars. We understand that the trial set of Jacks which have been fitted to one of these cars, have not yet quite completed their full trial in respect of mileage, but the completion of these trials will shortly take place. We are, however, proceeding with the modification of certain tools in connection with the manufacture of Jacks required to bring these into line with the specification you desire which was detailed by Mr. Lidsey and in this way we shall be sure of being able to deliver at least 20 sets to you before the end of January and to continue supplies at approximately 20 sets a week. If there is any further information you may require in connection with our Jacks supplied for the 25 h.p. cars, we shall be most pleased to co-operate immediately. With regard to the sample 40/50 Jack you have in your possession, we shall be glad to know if we may proceed with this type, at the earliest opportunity and also if we may proceed with the manufacture of the 2-speed geared handle to go with the 40/50 sets.
