- 2 - BY.1/G.19.7.33. (b). Piston. Scraper rings with .050" width of groove instead of plain rectangular ring. (4). Carburetter. (a). A common drain to be fitted to the carburetter and air silencer to LeC.3378. (b). On the same drawing LeC.3378 modification to the petrol pipes to the carburetters are included. (5). Clutch. (a). Modified flywheel with loose flange between crankshaft and flywheel made in nickel steel. Instructed under alteration No. 1772/G.SS.{S. Smith} (b). Special clutch casing cover with air vent - Instructed to the Works 18.7.33. (6). Gearbox. New Short Type Gear Lever with moving handle for reverse lock. Instructed under alteration 1773/G.SS.{S. Smith} (7). Side Steering. New Springs required for the side steering tube to particulars given in Es/Em.5/XT.17.7.33. (8). Front Axle. Cover to bottom of pivot. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} does not find that the intermediate type we instructed leaked. We have, however, instructed a further modification under memo BY/TBD.1/X.18.7.33. but if the Test Department are satisfied that the intermediate cover we produced, then the new type will be introduced on the second 100. Works will inform Mr. D'Aeth the final position. | ||
