so as to avoid any recurrance, I should be glad to act on your advice.

To me it appears essential that something should be done with this drive, otherwise I anticipate we shall have similar trouble on other cars.

I have arranged for Mr. Holgate to see you and give any further details you may require in regard to this matter.

Mr. holgate suggests that the film of oil could be broken up to advantage by fixing a few holes or grooves on the friction faces.
