-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.7.11.38. Our programme now is to strip this car on its return, replace and modify parts where this is shown to be necessary, re-build the engine without the cheapened modifications which have not proved successful, and run a second 15,000 miles' test. We expect the car will be ready to leave at the end of January, and so should complete the mileage in good time for the material to be released by March according to programme. We anticipate that as a result of this preliminary run about 80% of the chassis will be considered up to a standardisation standard. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
