Lidsey}3/HP.2.6.37. re Phantom III Ignition Wire/Tubes. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has examined the samples of ignition wire conduits with welded on brackets and of the two alternatives prefers the one using the large base brackets. We suggest that the sample pair should if possible be fitted to the Phantom III car which is leaving for France this week end. We do not think there is much risk in going to the new method right away, but the 15,000 miles/test will in any case quickly provide a standardisation test. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} would like you to arrange this and see Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re issuing a standardisation sheet if he thinks one is necessary. E/Lid{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
