Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,

For attention of Mr. E.W. Hives.

Dear Sirs,

The information kindly provided in connection with your 1935 models has been carefully examined by our Board of Automotive Engineers, and we have pleasure in attaching hereto a note of the grades of Mobiloil considered most suitable to ensure the correct lubrication of your products.

The engine oil recommendations are based upon a new range of Mobiloil made by an entirely new and exclusive refining process - known as the "Clearosol" process (Solvent extraction). This process removes more effectively than any previously employed those undesirable constituents of lubricating oil that are likely to set up sludge formations and gummy deposits in engines especially under operation at high temperatures.

It is no exaggeration to say that the new oils represent the most important step forward in lubrication that has been taken within a decade, and we are attaching hereto an Engineering Memorandum describing this process and the results obtainable from the new oils. May we suggest that you pass the Memorandum along to your Technical Department and, should you desire further copies, we shall be pleased to let you have them upon request.

Unless we hear from you to the contrary, we will take it that you are in agreement with our recommendations, which we should be glad if you would kindly file for reference purposes when producing further editions of your instruction books and other recommendation material.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Yours faithfully,
VACUUM OIL COMPANY, LIMITED.,
