-2- CARBURETTER AIR INTAKE AND SAND. We think it is essential for extra precautions to be taken with regard to sand being drawn into the engine by the carburetter. It will almost certainly be necessary for Mr. Symons to carry a number of air filter elements which will have to be replaced if, and when, they get choked up with sand. CLUTCH. It will be necessary to line the clutch with the more durable material mentioned at the last Conference. If it is agreed that the 18 x 7.8" tyres are large enough for the job we anticipate having the car here for a clear working week to carry out the other modifications. We should like sufficient paint to match up the new bonnet sides with the rest of the car. Attached are particulars of the large tyre taken fitted to a P.III for Mr. Symons' reference.
