Re Bonnets.

With reference to the tests which you are proposing to make to ascertain the comparative effects of louvred and shuttered bonnets, as regards floorboard temperature, I wish to advise you that Mr Johnson directs that the temperature of the water shall be observed at the same time, so that in considering whether louvres or shutters were the better scheme we should have two figures to take into account.
