X3741 THE RUNBAKEN MAGNETO CO.LTD. DERBY STREET, MANCHESTER. D/JHR/ET. ROY{Sir Henry Royce}12/MG13.11.23. Nov. 19th 1923. Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited, Derby. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 13th inst. together with report on our battery tester, for which please accept our best thanks. You state in your report that:- "A ring of celluloid is fixed inside the barrel so that the float cannot fall out". The ring is to act as a guide to prevent the hydrometer from sticking to the side of the tube, giving a false reading, and this is one of the patented features of the Runbaken. We shall be pleased to make the colours on the float more legible for you, and also provide for the bulb being rigidly fixed in position. Should you wish to standardise on our hydrometer, we could quote you competitive prices. We think you will agree that our form of hydrometer is a much more useful article than any other to be had, and the large sale that this now has would tend to bear out our claim. As far as accuracy is concerned, we should be pleased to guarantee our hydrometer to coincide with your standard. Yours faithfully, THE RUNBAKEN MAGNETO CO LTD.
