Millwrights Dept.(2) from EJJ/JV. c to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Exp.Dept. 1209 LES EJJ/JV38/JC1. 10. 37. Re - INSTALLATION OF P.II ENGINE DRIVE ON CHASSIS BUMPER, IN EXPERIMENTAL GARAGE. Order No.816. Job No.C.1923. It is desired to erect a Drive on the Chassis Bumper in the Experimental Garage by means of installing Texropes and utilising the existing P.II Engine now lying in the Experimental Bumper House. We give you below the following list of drawing giving particulars of the same. J.17403 - Layout of Drive etc. J.17492 - Arrangement and details of Clutch. J.17444 - Arrangement and details of Driving Shaft. The Driving Shaft J.17444 was previously issued on 1st Sept.1936, and was originally intended for a Drive with an electric motor. The parts therefore have been made and should be existing, a considerable number of which can be observed lying in the bottom of the pit. We have utilised this Drive as previously mentioned for the job by using one end of the pulley only. Will you please have this work put in hand as speedily as possible. We have instructed Messrs.Ford & Weston,Ltd., to break up and lay the foundation pit, please follow along with the necessary parts, so that no delay will occur with the erection of the pit, and unduly hamper the work in the Experimental Garage. All parts which are existing and have been previously issued are clearly marked as such on the drawings. We have not issued any details of these parts, so should any parts be missing and require making, please apply to this department for the drawings. Material which has been ordered out is clearly marked, and is shown on our memo EJJ/JV39/JC1/10/37. EJJ/JV. | ||
