To Ry. from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} copy Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4555 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/9-5-25. SECRET E.A.C.II. DIPPING HEADLAMPS FOR Mr ROYCE'S CAR. We send herewith N.Sch.1855. shewing the controls for the Dipping Head-lamps as designed for E.A.C.II. some while ago, but not sent to you as Mr Royce did not like the idea of friction for the control handle. We send you this now to enable you to give Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} sufficient information to fix up a set on the Allweather Torpedo we are building for him at Barkers. As this car is virtually an E.A.C.II. except for the standard length of bonnet, these details will come in with very little modification. We would be glad if Derby would make a layout to ascertain that the controls do not foul anything. Later on we shall send you a design of Auto-Lock to replace the friction clutch.
