Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH.

For the attention of J.N.Longley Esq.

Dear Sirs,

We have tested the samples of V.G.91 that you sent to us. We tried them first on our /u speed rig, and the results on this were disappointing, the shape of the curve suggesting that squeaks would occur.

We then tried the samples on our /u temperature rig, and on this rig the brake squeaked. As we have never known a lining run silent on a car that made a noise on this latter rig (the converse is not true) we cancelled the instructions for fitting to two cars, as it would only be waste of energy to fit them.

In their stead we are fitting the M.R.3., which arrived yesterday evening.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
