CHASSIS - REAR BRAKE.

RE SPECIAL FERODO MATERIAL WHICH HAS BEEN HOT PRESSED AND SPECIALLY PRODUCED.

Referring to the above material, which the O.O. inform me has been handed over to you some time ago for testing purposes, we wish to remind you that the material in question is a specially hard pressed material from which wire weaving has been eliminated. At the same time the bonding material has been reduced to a minimum, and Messrs. Froudes state definitely that they consider this material will wear considerably longer than the standard Ferodo we are at present using for the outer rear brake.

I have inspected a sample of the material which has actually been in use on Mr Froudes R.R. car, and it certainly appears to have stood up to the work imposed upon it remarkably well.

We are raising this point at the moment so that if there is any real superiority in the material it may possibly be pushed forward for very careful testing without delay.
