25/30 HP. Chassis - Air Silencer.

Some time ago there was a suggestion that an economy could be achieved by deleting the spherical joint union from the carburetter air intake pipe. A design was issued LeC.5236 and it was suggested in Sft{Mr Swift}/WNW.1/DR.21.8.36 that six sets should be made and fitted to chassis in order that the works could satisfy themselves that the deletion of the union did not affect the erection.

We should be glad to know whether this suggestion has yet been put into operation.
