Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Chassis 9.B.5. We confirm herewith the points that arose during the fitting of 9.B.5. body to the chassis at your works. 1. The rear body bracket step. When the body was dropped on the chassis, the aluminium block in the body runner was 6.300 from the rear spring anchorage, the body bracket on the chassis being 5.300" the block was moved to suit. On future Bentleys, the 6.300 dimension will be maintained. 2. In future chassis will be sent to you with the step irons not fitted, to assist in drilling the body from underneath, the step irons will then be fitted. 3. Windscreen wiper motor. The windscreen wiper motor is on the left hand side of the chassis, as shewn on F.CD.651. All future cars will have this feature. 4. Rear wheel arches. You will modify the rear wheel arches to take the front silent bloc floatex mounting as shewn on F.CD.889. 5. Front apron. The front apron sent you is incorrect, will you please produce one to FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}255. We will send you a detail drawing to assist you. Cont'd...... | ||
