To Mr. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to [struck through] c. to Hde. c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ✓ c. to Ep.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} ORIGINAL E3/430.5.22. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED JUN 1 1922 X4237 GOSHAWK 11. LARGER FAN. We send you herewith drawing No. Lec 1577 showing an 18" diameter fan with wider blades, stronger centre, and larger pulley. This fan runs at engine speed. This design was primarily made to go with a cowling, for which purpose the fan centre has to be raised, but Mr. Royce would like you to make it up and put it on the existing chassis for which it is quite suited. We have complete designs for cowling and louvres but these are now held over because the radiator is being made narrower and higher, with a tank ½" thicker and ¼" deeper. The top tank will then hold more water and the radiator will look more different than it does now compared with the 40/50. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
