-2- Contd. From this it would appear that your efforts to obtain all the available space for element volume have resulted in your leaving too little head room for acid volume. On inspection by the undersigned, however, of similar cells, this does not appear to be the case, or at any rate not to any great extent. Also we have not ourselves noticed that the acid is more likely to be lost on the P & R cells than on the Exide. There remain, however, the statements contained in these reports and we thought that you ought to see them, as it is definitely stated that the P & R cells do not retain the acid satisfactorily. It is to be remembered that the conditions of running on this 10,000 mile test in France are rather severe. We shall be pleased to hear your comments. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
