Catastrophic engine failure due to a connecting rod on Chassis No. B.149.JY.

This car broke down on the Oxford By-Pass on Monday and was collected by K.{Mr Kilner} and sent to Derby.
K.{Mr Kilner} report that a connecting rod failed and the engine was practically wrecked.
No doubt you will investigate this failure and let us have a report in due course.
This does not appear to be one of the 77 cars with the special bearing material.
