-2- (1) A quick and silent gear change either up or down at any speed. (2) Protection from the possibility of engaging a low gear when the car is going at speed, with the resultant strain upon the whole chassis and possibility of serious damage thereto, and also possible injury to passengers. (3) The delights of a perfectly controlled Free Wheel which may be in or out of use at the whim of the Driver by simply moving a button on the Dash. All these advantages and many more may be achieved by adopting the combination of the Sinclair Hydraulic Coupling and the Millam Free Wheel, and as the Hydraulic Coupling replaces a clutch, this combination may be adopted at a cost which is very little, if any, above the cost of the ordinary transmission. We would like to place before you fuller details on this subject, and would be very pleased to do so on hearing from you. Yours faithfully, FOR: SIR W.G. ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH & CO., (ENGINEERS) LIMITED. TS/MK.{R. E. B. Meade-King} | ||
