| contd.:- -2- The use of different materials for the valve seating does not necessarily promise a way out as the seatings do not get hot enough to form a protective scale. In addition to experiments already in hand we should like to suggest the following - (a) Test other valve materials available such as Ochromite. (b) Test valves preventing from turning as scheme two E1/M12.4.26. firstly on rig with grinding paste smeared on seatings. (c) Test effect of oil flooding on chromium valves in engine.
