BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X/780 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}8/G.11.3.30. PHANTOM II CLUTCH. Here with we send N. Sch. 3055 shewing two damper springs of increased strength for the above clutch, which R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishes to try. The lighter of the two is 20% of the standard main spring strength, and the heavier is 20% of the experimental stronger springs (2000 lbs.) shewn on N. Sch. 3034. This, we presume, is the one required for the 10,000 mile car. We have deleted the plunger, as was agreed to on the modified clutch of N. Sch. 2967. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
