To Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/KW.31.12.40. 1379 re Bentley Publicity. I am in receipt of Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}4/KW.27.12.40 re trial run to Mr. Boddy of 'Motor Sport'. I have spoken to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} about this and as it would appear that the London Trials B-V is not a good one of its type we want to arrange for Mr. Boddy to use Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car instead. I have spoken to Lp.{Mr Lappin} about this and he will arrange to let you have the car, and I would like you to let him have the London car instead and bring it up here next week so that our people can have a look at it. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} tells me that he has supplied Mr. Boddy with technical data, and has in fact more or less drafted the article for him. With regard to Mr. Pomeroy, I note what you say and in order to obviate a three-cornered business, I have asked Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} to get in touch with Pomeroy direct and try and fix up the demonstration run to demonstrate the speed.
