In reference to Mr. Royce's memo. of even date - R1/MS.6.25. - concerning change lever shaft for above, we send herewith Loc. 2079. shewing the simplified form.

Please note we use a tube swaged at each end for the shaft and are attaching the hand lever by cone and nut in place of brazing as hitherto. To do this it has been necessary to make the gate overhang .100 greater than before so as to allow sufficient length of boss on lever.

The length of boss on gate bracket has been lengthened to allow it to be sweated instead of brazed, which should be less expensive.

The stud and bolt centres in aluminium housing piece are the same as on G.73563.
