Dear Mr.Connolly,

We have had a brief discussion at Crewe concerning the sample Chrome retanned leather which you have sent, and agree it is a very nice piece of leather.

As a general rule we do not like fitting anything to cars at the Motor Show which is not similar to what the customer will get; so that before taking the action which you suggest I think we should know whether you intend to supply this in the future, and whether there would be any effect on the price.

I am sending this sample to Mr.J.Scott at Conduit Street, as he will be more interested than anyone. No doubt Mr.Scott will get into touch with you if he is anxious to take advantage of your kind offer.

Yours sincerely,
