400b SECRET. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 8.B.V. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/R.19.1.39. Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E18139, we will arrange for an attempt to be made to weld up the frame of this car before it returns to England. We have gone into the matter and find that it is quite a difficult job unless a certain amount of dismantling is done, and, therefore, shall not hold up the car until the running is stopped for some other reason, or, alternatively, the mileage is completed. At the present moment the car is being run the normal daily mileage by two testers, while the final proto-type car is being prepared at Derby. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
