Instructions for fitting Motor Car Oil Renovator.

(See Drawing No. 26/566.)

1. The renovator should be screwed on to the dashboard under the bonnet in a convenient position. (If this is not possible it should be supported on the engine by means of a bracket).

2. There are four pipe connections on the renovator, and these should be made as follows:-
(a) Exhaust Inlet, E or F.{Mr Friese}
The exhaust manifold should be tapped 3/8" gas in a position which will make it convenient to connect to the renovator by means of the 1/2" steel pipe with nipple each end supplied, the latter being screwed into it with cone end outwards and connected up to the renovator exhaust inlet by the 1/2" steel pipe supplied.

(b) Exhaust Outlet F or E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
The second 1/2" pipe supplied, that having the open end, should be connected to the renovator exhaust outlet and bent under the car. The bottom end should be left open to atmosphere.

(c) Dirty Oil Inlet (at bottom of renovator) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}
A tee should be inserted in the existing oil pipe leading to the dashboard oil pressure gauge, and the side branch connected by 1/4" outside diameter copper pipe to the dirty oil inlet on the renovator.

(d) Clean Oil Outlet (at top of renovator) B.
A 3/8" outside diameter copper pipe should be led from this connection to return the clean oil just inside the crankcase oil filler (or breather).

3. When the renovator is working, the cocks B and D should be open.
D (see name plate) is a breather to allow the escape of steam and petrol vapour from the renovator.
A (see name plate) is the connection for the motor-tyre pump for cleaning.
