the 4.25 to 1 ratio would be quoted there. I do hope this is in order. In view of your remarks, I am withholding all mention of speed on top gear. I should very much like an opportunity of checking the maximum speed again and at the same time I might check the r.p.m. in top and overdrive against the m.p.h., as there appears to me to be a slight discrepancy between my figures and the corrected figures published in last Wednesday's "Motor". If I could check fuel consumption with a test-tank, and, perhaps, take more note of miles put away in the hour, I should be pleased to publish such additional data. I am free only on Sunday now, but I can always arrange for a reliable friend to collect a car on Saturday, so perhaps something could be arranged for Feb. 23rd, March 9th, or March 23rd. The test-report is scheduled for this month's issue, which should appear any day now, and a copy of which will be sent to you. Yours sincerely, W. Boddy, Actg, Editor. | ||
